Below is the original design concept...

LockRockIt was designed, prototyped and patented by Jason Boeki, a Mechanical Engineer, avid cyclist and triathlete that was frustrated with the options for mounting his u-locks on his road, street and mountain bikes.

Jason has been cycling for over 30 years, both on and off road. It's out of his love for the sport and frustration of getting his beloved bikes stolen numerous times that drove him to find a solution.

Jason decided to use his engineering and design background and take matters into his own hands.

He wanted to create a bicycle u-lock bracket that could be mounted OUTSIDE of the bike triangle. He also wanted to be able to fit not one but two water bottle cages on his road bikes while still being able to bring his u-lock with him on his long distance rides. It took a numerous trial prototypes, but with some blood, sweat and tears, he finally came up with a design that met his high standards.

The image below his is one of his early first prototypes (literally made in his bathtub) and the drill caught an edge and nearly took his finger with it!

After undergoing four different prototypes, the LockRockIT bike bracket was born. The current prototype is universal, strong and easy to install. Jason got the design patented and is now ready to share his idea with cyclists around the globe.
