Q: How do I install the LockRockIT bike lock bracket?

A: The installation video will explain how to first put one bolt and nut pair on first and then thread the brackets under the seat over the seat rails. After finger tightening the first pair of fasteners, the other fasteners can be tightened to securely hold the LockRockIt in place.

Q: Will it rust?

A: No this u-lock mount is coated with a tough powder coat prevents rust and scratches.

Q: Does it swing and hit the seat post?

A: No. Because of its tough rubber-like coating, U-locks can't spin in the bracket as the friction prevents it. Our new model is also mounted further back behind the seat so it physically can't swing that far.

Q: Is there a discount if I buy more than one?

Q: Do you consider reseller arrangements?

A: We currently don’t offer an affiliate program for sales promotions or re-sales.

Q: What brands of u-locks does this bracket fit?

A: This bicycle lock holder will fit all u-locks including all Kryptonite, Master Lock Co, OnGuard BullDog, Bicycle Motorcycle, Sunlite, Kent, ABUS, Serfas, Weanas, Cocoweb, DiamondBack, Evo E-Force, and Trademark Global locks.

Q: Will I have to pay extra for customs/duties?

A: We've done our best to fulfill our orders and minimize the cost to you, but it may happen for some countries that the duties are applied for purchases from other countries. Every country is different and we sincerely hope that it doesn't affect your purchase.

Q: Is the old version available?

A: No Sorry - it was not a universal fit. By the way our new model is different than what's shown in our first video - it doesn't use inserts which have to be customized and is  much easier to install.

Q: Will it fit any size U-Lock?

Yes absolutely. It is universal and fits all sizes of U-Locks up to about 21mm in diameter - which includes most all U-Locks on the market (round / square shaped, all versions of Fahgettaboudit). 

Q: Are there different colors available?

A: For now, we only have black. This will change however, but you could paint and customize your LockRockIt and it should still work fine. Feel free to send images of your custom installation and we’ll post on our wall of fame.

Q: How long does it take to receive?

A:  It depends on your location and shipping options you request when you purchase. Order to United States and Canada will take around 2 weeks. We also usually require around 4 business days before sending tracking information.

Q: What are the dimensions of the LockRockIt?

A: The LockRockIt is about 2 inches deep x 3.5 inches long and 2 inch high.

Q: What do I get when I buy this bike lock mount?

A: You'll get the upper and lower sheet-metal brackets that are fastened together to make up the LockRockit; 3 fasteners with nuts.

Q: I'm short and ride with my seat low, will the mounted U-lock hit my wheel?

A: It shouldn't but might, depending on how short you are. We've made the new model mount directly up and behind the seat and not underneath. This gives extra height and clearance - the best we could do. 

Q: How much does it weigh?

A: We get this could be an issue but compared to the mass of a lock we're not adding much - 375 grams including the fasteners.
